Luckily the track was pretty much done by Wednesday / Thursday..couldn't ask for better weather early in the week.

it still needs to be groomed / packed in...gate installed etc...

Looking back down the 2nd and third straights, from the top of the second berm

Billy Allen built the track last week (ABA grands / reno etc..track builder).  It has all the elements you'd ever want in a bmx track

Looking at the picture it looks every bit of at Least 1000ft. Such an ABA design all the way I know most of you guys recall the double double triple 2nd straights that the ABA used to swear by at every indoor race? Haha look familiar in those pics? I'm not sure what time slots/days they are going for.  At the moment the talks have been saturday and sunday because they will have no lights.  Heard the track is going to top out around 1200 feet!!! get your endurance up for this place!! Wow!! That's some rhythm section. Can't wait to take Peter. You say they are going to race Sat & Sun? If they did an afternoon race on Saturdays ( perhaps 3:30) We could hit the double at Livermore/San Ramon and then race Manteca. Three races in a day--Now thats racing!!

HAPPY DAYS........Jon from Manteca called me today,happy that they are bringing his first truckloads of Dirt today...The new track is going to happen !!!.. Jon says,weather permiting,within 3-4 months there sould be something to ride on..This will be an ABA track,designed by racers for racers within a city park .lights,power,snackbar,bleachers,water,plenty of free PAVED parking....
Great Job to Jon & the ICEE & SNAP crew out there. Pushing the city all these years to get it done..
